Location Recommendations
Trying to think of a location for your photo session can be hard and stressful. Let me help you relieve that stress by providing you some location recommendations for shoots as well as some photos for reference! Do not think you must choose a location from my recommendations. I am always looking for new places to shoot! I will regularly update this page when I find new locations! Contact me if you wish to have reference photos for a specific location.
Muscatutuck Wildlife Refuge (Seymour, IN) - Cabin, fields, ponds, gravel roads.
Commiskey Car Wash (Commiskey, IN) - Road that drives through a creek. The creek is a rock bottom surrounded by trees on all sides making for great creek style photoshoot.
Jackson-Washington State Forest (Brownstown, IN) - Trails, picnic tables, pond, playgrounds, nature.
Austin Park (Austin, IN) - Beautiful paved walking trail accessible to all individuals.
Elk Creek (Scottsburg, IN) - Lake with a beautiful view. It does require walking up a steep hill onto a damn to capture the best photos.
Scottsburg Square (Scottsburg, IN) - Great for photos with historical looking buildings, bring walls, steps, stone buildings, and a small city feel.
Austin, IN - Gravel road surrounded by fields around Hardy Lake.
Lake Iola (Scottsburg, IN) - Pond with paved walking trail around it, gazebo, playground, train tracks, and more.
Hardy Lake (Scottsburg, IN) - Inside or outside of the park. Inside that park there is beach access, trails, boat docks, picnic tables, and more. Free to get in November - April. On the outside there are open fields and woods that are used during hunting season that offer great nature style photos.
Clark State Forest (Henryville, IN) - Trails, playgrounds, fields, lakes, and so much more.
Downtown Madison (Madison, IN) - Walk on the river, historic buildings, the yellow mansion, bridges, etc.
Falls of the Ohio (Clarksville, IN) - To get to this location, you must be able to climb rocks. It is not accessible to everyone.
